Analyst: Market Expectations for a Rate Hike in September FOMC Meeting May Slightly Increase

BlockBeats News, August 27th - UBS Group Chief Economist Reto Cueni stated in a report that the market may slightly increase its expectation of a rate hike by the Federal Reserve in the September meeting.

However, he pointed out that currently, the market still mostly expects the Fed to hold off on a rate hike, and UBS Group itself does not expect a rate hike either. Cueni said: "Currently, we still maintain our view that the Fed will not raise rates further in the second half of this year."

According to LSEG data, the money market currently predicts a 65% probability that the Federal Reserve will keep interest rates unchanged in the September meeting.
