TON is so hot right now, yet there hasn't been a single MEME worthy enough.

Don't worry, today, it's here.

Today, a simple black and white dog picture is going viral on social media.

It's the image below, named DOGS. Let's just call it the "Black and White Doggy" for now.

What on earth is this? Let's get started.

DOGS' Telegram channel just got created, with a long introduction, roughly stating that this dog is named Spotty. At the end of the text, the team says, "Why DOGS? This is not just another meme coin. It is the most Telegram-suited meme coin that reflects the spirit and culture of a vibrant community. Bringing Spotty's legacy into the world of cryptocurrency to create something fun, community-driven, and unique."

It's clear at a glance that this is a MEME coin riding on the concepts of Telegram and TON.

How can one get hold of this MEME?

Join DOGS' bot channel, it will automatically analyze your Telegram account; the longer your account has been active, the more points you get. Premium Telegram accounts also earn extra points. Additionally, inviting friends to join can get you extra points.

According to social media buzz, users generally can get around 3000 points each.

Some users have reported being unable to view their points; based on the editor's experience, you need to set up your Telegram username first.

In short, this DOGS coin is basically an airdrop for Telegram users. This kind of "vampire" attack-style airdrop method should be familiar to Web3 players.

Capitalizing on the recent hype around the TON ecosystem, the launch of this DOGS coin is somewhat unexpected yet also expected. Its Telegram channel has quickly attracted 770k followers, showing terrifying growth, which is quite explosive compared to similar airdrops in Web3 history.

At the moment, the project is still in ongoing development, and there have been many KOL shares on X. These actions appeared on the morning of the 10th day and had already started flooding the feed by the afternoon.

There are rumors that this bot was created with the support of Notcoin by the creator BLUM. However, this information has not been officially confirmed yet.

However, if you ask what the future holds for this project, currently, there is no detailed information.

Nevertheless, Telegram can easily be linked to a built-in TON wallet or a third-party wallet. This means that, although DOGS are currently just points, converting points is very simple. At that time, Telegram users may need to register a TON chain wallet and then deposit TON to claim.

While the TON ecosystem has some MEME projects such as FISH, REDO, it lacks breaking the circle and the wealth effect. Emphasizing small games, payment applications, cross-border e-commerce, and other Web2, Web2.5-oriented features are part of TON's genes and characteristics. DeFI and MEME have always been very weak.

Will DOGS be the first interesting MEME on TON? It is not yet known, we continue to observe. But you have to admit, based on the current spread, it will definitely be able to transform many Web2 players into TON chain users.

It is worth noting that currently, it is only points and cannot be claimed. In addition, with 9 billion Telegram users, just think about how many you can receive. The editor believes that active participation is key...

Once again, it is important to note that the current project lacks background information, and there have been many recent coin theft security incidents in the TON ecosystem. Although the project has been reposted by many KOLs, players should still be mindful of security.
