For PW, since the cumulative pledge reward does not compound, the verification node needs to extract the excess ETH (i.e. > 32 ETH) and store it again. The average node balance is about 34 ETH (two more than the number of nodes), the total number of nodes to be verified is about 563,000, and only 1.125 million ETH need to be extracted for PW.
