Speculators believe that when the price of Bitcoin (BTC) rises, bitcoin miners will sell more coins. But despite bitcoin's recent record high (ATH), miners aren't selling more bitcoins than usual, according to data on Cryptoquant and Glassnode chains. On Dec. 22, researchers on the chain from Glassnode explained that miners aren't spending more than usual during periods of record highs.
"Despite the recent rally, Bitcoin miners are not spending more BTC than usual." Glassnode said on Tuesday. "The miner outflow indicator shows that the bitcoin miner outflow is high relative to its historical average and is well below its previous peak and even below its 2019 peak."

Since halving in a few months and a bull market, bitcoin miners have been profiting handsomely. Before the halving, some had predicted that miners would need a bitcoin price of $12,500 to make the profits they made before halving to make ends meet.
The net's computing power is now very high, at 139 exahash (EH/s) per second, and these hash rates are provided by 14 bitcoin mining pools around the world. With the current price of more than $23,000, bitcoin miners, and even older miners like the S9, are making relatively handsome profits.
The world today already has 18579,969 NBSP; BTC in circulation, so far, this is 88.48% of the total supply of 21 million. BTC's annual inflation rate was above 3.6% until it halved in May, and bitcoin's annual inflation rate has dropped sharply since then to 1.78%.
Miners discovered an average of $20,961,900 worth of BTC per day at 144 blocks (at today's exchange rate). Yesterday, 147 BTC blocks were found at a rate of six blocks per hour over the past two weeks, and the total production of miners worldwide is now about 918 bitcoins per day.
While the two-week average bitcoin block award is $146,046 per block, the average cost per block is a total of $0.81. BTC or $18,837. Glassnode's in-chain statistics show that physical addresses have been holding bitcoins for longer, based on the "implemented hoard indicator" over the past seven days.
In addition to the Glassnode data, miner outflow statistics from Cryptoquant suggest that bitcoin miners have not seen a significant increase in selling volume as BTC prices have been so high. Cryptoquant tracks data from major BTC pools, including Antpool, Poolin, Btc.com, F2pool, Viabtc, Slush, Dpool, Bytepool, and other smaller unknown pools.
