Binance France to close all accounts by year-end.

BlockBeats news, November 7: Binance France will close all customer accounts on December 31, 2026, and starting November 29, will charge a monthly management fee for accounts still holding assets, amounting to 0.025% of the account balance or 10 USDC, whichever is higher. Fees will first be deducted from USDC balances, and any shortfall will then be deducted from other crypto assets.

Binance France has notified users that accounts that have not withdrawn assets before the closure date may be deemed inactive, and assets may be converted, transferred, or otherwise handled in accordance with the terms of use. Accounts that withdraw all assets before November 29 will not be charged the aforementioned fees.

Previously reported, MiCA regulation becomes mandatory after the transition period ends on June 30/July 1, 2026. Binance France failed to obtain approval on time and therefore must orderly cease operations in France. Starting July 1, 2026, French users have been unable to trade (spot, leverage, futures, etc.) and can only withdraw. About 2 million French users are affected.
