Salus: Approximately 3,600 stolen SOL from Binance flowed into HitBTC hot wallet

BlockBeats news, November 4th - According to Salus monitoring, approximately 3,600 stolen SOL from Binance have flowed into HitBTC's hot wallet after being transferred through multiple paths using automated scripts and peeling chain patterns. As of July this year, about $22 million in illicit funds had flowed into HitBTC. In the $1.4 billion Bybit hack incident, at least $3.68 million in funds linked to North Korean money laundering networks also flowed into the platform.

Hackers frequently use nested services to launder stolen funds. So-called "nested services" include instant exchange service providers, small trading platforms, and over-the-counter (OTC) platforms. These services connect to large trading platforms through APIs to access their liquidity.
