BlockBeats news, November 3: Decentralized trading platform Extended has announced the tokenomics for its native token XTEN, with a maximum total supply of 1 billion tokens, all minted at genesis with no inflation mechanism. Of this, 30% (300 million tokens) is allocated to eligible participants of the Extended Points program and will be fully unlocked at TGE with no fees required.
XTEN is primarily used for trading fee discounts, staking rewards, and Vault yield boosts. Staking will go live simultaneously with TGE; users who stake at least 500 XTEN can enter the corresponding tier, with trading fee discounts of up to 30%, Vault extra yield boosts of up to 5x, and a maximum Vault boosted deposit cap of $2 million per user.
In terms of token allocation, the ecosystem fund accounts for 20% (200 million tokens), of which 150 million tokens are for staking rewards and 50 million tokens for ecosystem development; the team, founders, and investors collectively account for 50% (500 million tokens), which will not unlock in the first 12 months after TGE and will thereafter be released in batches according to different vesting schedules.
Additionally, the total supply of XTEN will not increase, trading fee revenue can be used to burn tokens, and Extended-affiliated entities may also repurchase XTEN through the open market. The token will also natively support Circle's CCTP, enabling cross-chain transfers between Arc and other blockchains that support the protocol.
Extended has not yet announced the TGE date or the airdrop claim window. Notably, users in the European Economic Area (EEA) will not be able to conduct XTEN spot trading in the initial period after the platform launches, but can still claim, hold, stake, and transfer tokens.
