BlockBeats news, October 22: Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said at the GTC conference in Berlin on Thursday that global control over the pace of AI development is "ridiculous," and strongly defended the AI cloud computing industry, believing that strong computing power demand will drive enterprises to solve problems in data center construction and operations. He revealed that he had urged UK AI cloud service provider Nscale to push its project forward with full force, saying the company has quality customers and that the key is obtaining sufficient working capital.
However, the AI infrastructure industry is facing construction delays, financing pressure, and doubts about investment returns. Nscale has encountered bottlenecks in data center construction and power supply, and its proposed $30 billion IPO valuation has also been questioned; another Nvidia investee, Firmus Grid, abandoned its $30 billion IPO plan. Meanwhile, AI-related stocks have recently come under broad pressure, with rising market concerns about the high capital expenditure and cash flow capacity of new cloud computing providers.
To accelerate data center deployment, Nvidia unveiled the DSX Pod, a modular data center product delivered in container form, at the GTC conference in Berlin, aiming to simplify equipment integration and shorten construction cycles. But power supply, site conditions, and supporting facilities remain key constraints on project implementation. The market's focus is no longer just on whether AI computing power demand can continue to grow, but also on whether relevant companies can translate demand into actual revenue and cash flow.
