Arthur Hayes: BTC Could Reach $1 Million by 2030, but ETH Is Currently the Preferred Option

BlockBeats News, September 2nd, BitMEX Co-founder Arthur Hayes stated that Bitcoin currently has the conditions to rise to $1 million by 2030. Potential driving factors include the massive monetary injection that may occur after the AI bubble bursts and the U.S. implementing yield curve control. He believes that $58,000 may already be the bottom of this cycle, and BTC will gradually trend upwards thereafter.

However, Hayes's current preferred crypto asset is ETH. He believes that ETH has a better risk-return profile than HYPE and may triple or quintuple in value in a relatively short period. His reason is that Ethereum still serves as the foundational layer of DeFi, and as a large-cap crypto asset, ETH has yet to surpass its 2021 all-time high, lagging behind in both market attention and valuation performance.

Hayes stated that Hyperliquid is currently receiving significant market attention, with investors having high expectations for it. Therefore, HYPE's price no longer exhibits the same asymmetry as before, but this does not mean it won't continue to rise. He also believes that Trump's remarks have a limited impact on Bitcoin's price, and investors should pay more attention to Bezos, the U.S. Treasury, the Federal Reserve, and other monetary authorities' actual actions.
