Anthropic mistakenly wrote a reduction as an increase: Claude Code's weekly limit will be reduced by 17% starting on September 14th.

Dynamic Beating AI News Flash, Anthropic announced that starting from September 14, the standard weekly limit for Claude Code will be permanently increased by 25%. This includes Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise. However, for existing users, the actual available limit will be reduced by around 17%.

If the previous standard limit is considered as 100, the temporary increase is now at 150%, so users actually receive 150. After September 14, when the temporary boost ends, the new standard will be 125. In other words, from the current 150, it will decrease to 125, which is a reduction of around 16.7%. Anthropic later confirmed in a follow-up comment that this is a 17% decrease compared to today.
