「The Big Short」 Michael Burry Updates Portfolio: Buys NVIDIA Long Position as Hedge, Stock Short Interest Surpasses 21%

BlockBeats News, August 27th, "The Big Short" prototype Michael Burry revealed his latest positions. He initiated a long position in Nvidia (NVDA) as a hedge while also increasing his short position in Nvidia. Additionally, he added to his short positions in Oracle (ORCL), Palantir (PLTR), Nebius (NBIS), and Caterpillar (CAT).

On the long side, Burry increased his position in Birkenstock (BIRK) at $30 and also added to his position in Freddie Mac (FMCC) at $5.

Burry stated that his short equity positions now represent over 21% of his portfolio, not including put options. He mentioned that the scale of his put options position is challenging to quantify easily because the options are usually deep out of the money, far from expiration, and involve an asymmetric, high-leverage directional strategy, but with a currently low market value.
