BlockBeats News, August 25th, Cryptocurrency asset management company Bitwise has launched Automated Token Portfolios (ATPs), allowing eligible non-U.S. users to automatically replicate and periodically rebalance professional investment portfolios designed by the Bitwise investment team through a self-hosted wallet.
The product is based on Coinbase's tokenized stocks and is executed through Glider, initially covering themes such as the "Big Seven" tech companies, SpaceX, robotics, and AI leaders, charging a 0.15% methodological access fee, excluding transaction and platform fees. Bitwise stated that the related tokenized stocks are always kept in the user's non-custodial wallet, without the need to transfer assets to a fund or entrust them to a manager.
Matt Hougan, Chief Investment Officer of Bitwise, stated that ATPs allow investors to access professional investment portfolios without surrendering asset custody. As the assets remain self-hosted on-chain, users may also potentially lend tokenized stocks in DeFi protocols in the future, but they will need to bear the associated risks themselves.
Bitwise currently manages around $9 billion in cryptocurrency assets and has been expanding its on-chain investment product offerings throughout this year.
