Grayscale's Zcash Spot ETF officially began trading on the New York Stock Exchange Arca today, with the ticker symbol ZCSH, becoming the world's first exchange-traded product providing exposure to Zcash (ZEC) spot. The product, formerly known as the Grayscale Zcash Trust, was established as a private placement as early as October 2017.
Grayscale's Head of Index Business, Steve Vanourny, stated that Zcash has nearly a decade of network history, a fixed supply limit of 21 million coins, a PoW mechanism, and optional privacy features that Bitcoin does not have. The company positions ZCSH as a high-risk satellite position in a digital asset portfolio.
