BlockBeats News, August 14th. Michael Saylor, the founder of Strategy, stated in a post that digital assets are competing in four different markets, which are not a single market but a new financial architecture challenging the traditional financial system (TradFi). The details are as follows:
Bitcoin, competing for wealth against stocks, real estate, gold, and art.
STRC, competing for income against bonds and private credit.
Digital currency, competing for savings against money market funds and government bonds.
Digital cash, competing for payments against cash and bank deposits.
Yesterday, Michael Saylor elaborated on the concept of the "currency spectrum" of digital assets in a post, categorizing digital assets as follows: Bitcoin = Digital Capital, STRC = Digital Credit, SR-strcUSX = Digital Currency, USDT = Digital Cash. In this spectrum, from left to right, volatility and return potential gradually decrease, while stability and transaction utility gradually increase. Saylor defined Bitcoin as the ultimate store of value — volatile, high energy, sound, and pseudonymous currency; while USDT is the ultimate medium of exchange — stable and easy to transact; digital credit and digital currency bridge the gap between capital and currency.
