BlockBeats News, July 29th, Citrini analyst Jukan cited news that Samsung Electro-Mechanics has notified customers that starting from August 1, 2026, the prices of some MLCC (Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor) products will be increased by 30%. The company stated that the continued growth in global electronics demand has intensified supply chain pressures. Despite having enhanced production efficiency and expanded capacity, in order to ensure product quality and stable supply, the company has had to adjust the prices of some products.
This price increase applies to all MLCC products under Samsung Electro-Mechanics' Markup Business Code, with the new prices taking effect for products shipped on or after August 1.
Furthermore, Japanese MLCC manufacturer Taiyo Yuden also plans to raise the prices of MLCC products starting from September 1, citing the continuous increase in raw material costs and supply chain tightness. Even after the price increase, the company may still be unable to fully meet customer demand, and certain order delivery times may not be guaranteed.
