Agora announced it will cease minting the stablecoin AUSD on Injective, with the redemption window open until September 28th

BlockBeats News, April 3rd. According to official sources, Agora announced that starting from April 3, 2026, it will gradually cease the issuance and support of AUSD on the Injective network. Following the latest adjustment, no new AUSD will be minted on Injective, and existing AUSD holdings on the network will no longer receive any rewards. However, users can still redeem AUSD at a 1:1 value, and the redemption window will remain open until September 28, 2026. This adjustment only applies to the Injective network and does not affect the operation of AUSD on other chains.

Regarding the redemption process, Agora stated that its customers can complete the operation by contacting their account manager. Users simply need to send their AUSD on Injective to the official channel, and the platform will assist in converting it to the user's designated on-chain AUSD or exchanging it for USD and other supported stablecoins. The official statement emphasizes that September 28, 2026, is the standard redemption deadline, and processing of remaining assets will still be possible afterward but may require additional KYC verification processes and incurred fees.

Agora pointed out that this decision is based on its regular evaluation mechanism for multi-chain deployment, considering factors such as actual usage, ecosystem health, and infrastructure costs. After a comprehensive assessment, Agora has decided to strategically streamline the AUSD operations on the Injective network to optimize resource allocation and enhance overall operational efficiency.
