According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and Russia Today (RT), on April 1st, Ibrahim Azizi, Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, issued a statement addressing U.S. President Trump, saying that the Strait of Hormuz will definitely reopen but not to the United States.
Azizi posted on social platform X that day, stating, "Trump has finally realized his 'regime change' dream, but only in the maritime order of that region! The Strait of Hormuz will certainly reopen but not to you (the United States); it will only be open to those countries that comply with Iran's new laws."
