BlockBeats news, October 22: On-chain detective ZachXBT posted a question about Indian crypto trading platform CoinDCX, stating that its deposit address TQKJQ was still used by a certain liquidity provider (LP) for about 10 months after the July 2025 security incident, and continued to aggregate user deposits and receive gas funds, with the relevant funds still flowing to CoinDCX's current publicly disclosed hot wallet as late as April and May 2026.
ZachXBT accordingly questioned that the CoinDCX team has failed to explain the whereabouts of approximately $15.8 million in user deposits, and compared CoinDCX to previously controversial Indian crypto trading platforms WazirX and BitBNS.
Previously, CoinDCX responded that the recently scrutinized suspected stolen transactions involved an old wallet address created in January 2025 and compromised in July of the same year, and that the relevant address has not been used by the platform since then, with current on-chain activity unrelated to the platform. There is a clear discrepancy between the two sides' statements, and the specific circumstances of the $15.8 million in funds still require further verification.
