After CPI Release, Fed's April Rate Cut Probability Rises to 42%

2026-01-13 13:44

BlockBeats News, January 13th, according to Reuters, on Tuesday, traders increased their bets, believing that the Fed may not wait until Fed Chair Powell's term ends in May to cut rates, as earlier the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that core consumer prices rose less than expected.

While traders still believe that a rate cut in June is the most likely outcome, based on the latest data, the probability of a Fed rate cut in April is about 42%, up from 38% before the data release.
