The NBA had previously rejected dinwidy's request as a "violation of the collective bargaining agreement.

The NBA will reevaluate a proposal by NBA star Spencer Dinwiddie on Jan. 13 to pay part of his $34 million salary in bitcoin, BlockBeats reported.

NBA star spencer dinwiddie had been hoping to convert part of his three-year, $34 million contract to cryptocurrency, according to media reports. That would allow him to make a profit by selling bitcoins if they rose in value later, though his plan was rejected by the NBA, which cited a "violation of the collective bargaining agreement."

But after months of discussions, dinghweedy revised his plan to token his NBA contract by not tying his digital currency plan to his NBA contract, according to THE ATHLETIC. "Dinwiddie has updated us with new information about his digital token ideas," said Mike Bass, head of communications for the NBA. " The source added that while dinwiddie's new proposal has already made significant changes, he is also ready for any possible disciplinary action by the NBA.
