OKX Ventures Partner Jeff Ren hosted the Aptos Experience roundtable forum, focusing on the potential of Web3 development in the Asia-Pacific region

OKX Ventures partner Jeff Ren was invited to attend the "Aptos Experience" event on September 5, 2024, and hosted a roundtable on the theme of "APAC's Investment Potential & Key Drivers for Adoption".

The roundtable brought together industry leaders including Aptos Labs CEO and co-founder Mo Shaik, Jambo founder James Zhang, and IRONGREY investment head Vincent Park to discuss the growth and development of the Web3 ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region.

The main highlights of this roundtable include:

1) The importance of strong infrastructure: The roundtable members, represented by popular blockchains such as Aptos, emphasized the evolution of Web3 infrastructure. In their discussion, they pointed out that strong infrastructure is essential for the growth of the application layer, exemplified by projects such as Jambo Phone and OKX Web3 Wallet.

2) Connecting Web2 and Web3: Jambo innovatively launched a $99 Web3 phone for the Southeast Asian market, which has become an excellent example of bringing Web2 users into the Web3 ecosystem through convenient hardware and pre-installed Web3 applications.

3) Developer Engagement: Aptos Labs' strategy of actively engaging with young Korean developers, communities, and students has become a successful model for promoting regional innovation and technology applications.

4) Integration of AI and Web3: The roundtable explored the potential synergy between AI and Web3 technologies, emphasizing the need for decentralized and secure data access. The discussion also touched on the potential of AI in content generation and considered related regulatory issues.

5) Regional Focus: IRONGREY's strategy of investing in the infrastructure and application layers demonstrates the potential of the Asia-Pacific region, where more Web3 innovations are expected to emerge in the future.

Prior to this event, OKX Ventures and Aptos Foundation just announced the launch of a $10 million fund to support the growth of the Aptos ecosystem and the large-scale application of Web3. Earlier this year, OKX Ventures also reached a partnership with Jambo to increase the accessibility of the digital economy in emerging markets by combining advanced Web3 technology and mobile technology.
