Over 10 dapps in the Sui ecosystem have integrated "zkLogin" Google authentication.
Games, e-commerce, and DeFi applications are utilizing Sui's unique social authentication to eliminate the biggest barrier for mainstream audiences to use Web3.
The Layer1 blockchain Sui, created by the former Facebook Diem project leader, announced today that more than 10 decentralized applications (dApps) in the Sui ecosystem have integrated zkLogin. Users can simply log in using familiar network authentication methods (such as Google or Twitch accounts).
Sui continues to add new providers and features to zkLogin, such as multi-signature functionality. With these new features, tens of thousands of users will be able to use zkLogin and experience one-click access to the world of encryption for the first time.
Mysten Labs co-founder and Chief Cryptographer Kostas Chalkias said: "zkLogin is a unique native utility of Sui, which allows developers to enable users to authenticate web3 applications with just their common social login names. As encryption enters the next phase of adoption, tools like zkLogin will become a prerequisite for mainstream users to enter decentralized networks."
Now, wallets that support zkLogin include Chrome-based wallets such as Ethos Wallet and Sui Wallet. zkLogin is also integrated into mobile applications through Suiet and Surf Wallet (available on Play Store and AppStore).
Similarly, Web3 gaming experiences such as Suilette and Quantum Temple are utilizing zkLogin to provide users with a more seamless and intuitive onboarding experience.
Finally, the DeFi applications in the Sui ecosystem also leverage this unique advantage of Sui. Well-known protocols such as DegenHive, Blockbolt, Aftermath, Navi, and BlueFin have integrated this technology, allowing users to manage digital assets and participate in financial activities without the need to manage private keys.
Bluefin co-founder Zabi Mohebzada said: "zkLogin is a game-changer in the Web3 industry, especially in the DeFi field. With zkLogin, users only need a Google account to register and trade. No wallet is required. This allows us to unleash the security advantages of decentralized trading for a wider range of investors."
zkLogin was launched in 2023 and is one of the first Web3 identity verification solutions based on Web2. It allows users to join the Sui ecosystem without installing a separate wallet or remembering and managing mnemonic phrases.
