SINGAPORE - 27 JUNE 2022: Tezos India and TZ APAC jointly announce TEZASIA, the largest Tezos hackathon in Asia! As a Web3 Hackathon, TezAsia welcomes aspiring novices, advanced programmers, students, professionals and blockchain enthusiasts to sign up. Participants stand a chance to win over $100,000 in prizes and $100,000 in grants. This hackathon will bring new career opportunities, offering opportunities to work with top Dapps, platforms and teams in the Tezos ecosystem.

The Tezos India organization develops based on the Tezos blockchain ecosystem and continues to empower the ecosystem. TZ APAC, Asia's leading blockchain application entity, is the Tezos ecosystem system, the two organizations co-host the month-long TEZASIA Hackathon in the Asia-Pacific region. The registration deadline is July 8th, and the hackathon will begin on July 10th.

TezAsia partnered with Unstop to host the hackathon and manage registration for the competition (deadline July 8th). Participants can register for free through this link, individually or in groups of four. The hackathon is based on two themes "small but great" and "subvert everything", covering all tracks such as NFT and DeFi.

"Small but Great" is aimed at beginners in blockchain development, who hope to develop simple DApps through the Tezos technology stack to prove their abilities. "Disrupt Everything" is designed for teams with a disruptive vision to demonstrate a proof of concept/minimum viable product of an ideal Web3 product. Competitors will also find a detailed list of ideas within the platform, increasing their chances of winning in each category. So far, 7,000 people have signed up for the hackathon.

TEZASIA will be launched as a webinar on July 10th, this hackathon consists of 7 days of large workshops, running until July 2022 On the 20th, there will be development and mentoring sessions from July 21st to August 5th, 2022. In these workshops, developers are guided from end-to-end to develop a Dapp in Tezos, each development step is explained, covering Tezos smart contract language learning, token standards, several integration libraries and the Tezos blockchain profile. The focus of this hackathon is to familiarize the participants by exploring interesting ideas and lessons learned for developing projects in Tezos through content and resource sharing. Participants will submit their final projects between August 5 and August 12, at which time project evaluation will also take place.

Among the selected themes, the winners of different tracks and themes will receive an eye-catching $10,000 prize, with the runner-up and third runner-up receiving $8,000 and $5,000 respectively. Winners will also receive a Certificate of Outstanding Performance NFT. The top 20 projects will have a chance to win a $10,000 prize. Interestingly, the 4th and 5th place finishers also received $1,000 each, with an additional $500 for the best event in each track. The Women In Tech organization has a special prize of $10,000.
