By unique address, Axie's number of daily active users (DAUs) was around 92,000 today (October 31) and nearly 2 million in August. Every day, more than 300 people actively apply for scholarships on YGG's Discord server. These numbers are quite impressive, given that even the top blockchain games have only a few thousand or even a few hundred DAU.

What was YGG and its early participation in Axie Infinity

Yield Guild Games was launched in late 2020 following the popularity of the Axie Infinity Scholarship program. As early as August 2020, YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon from the Philippines has been making frequent appearances on Axie's Medium as an active gamer. In May 2021, YGG funded the # Playwhile Earning documentary that popularized the concept of play while Earning (P2E), which was released at a price of about $5 for AXS tokens.

Today, YGG is positioned as a gateway between players and games such as The Sandbox, F1 Delta Time, Embersword, Splinterlands, Guild of Guardians, etc. (see Tables 2, 3, and 3). On the one hand, it makes the game very easy to play; On the other hand, it makes the game accessible by investing in game assets and organizing a scholarship program.

YGG is by far the most successful crypto game guild. Let's take a look at the numbers on community size, revenue, investment, etc., and see how the game and its guild model works.

Axie Enrollment application and Acceptance mechanism

According to YGG's September report, YGG held 26,438 Axies, up 46.2% from July. Axies' total number indicates a hard top of 8,812 students.

At present, there are about one a day. Between 250 and 300 people apply for membership through YGG Discord. Only two students have been accepted so far in October. There were 8 in September, 42 in August, and about 6-10 a day in July. Players can earn 100-200 SLPS per day, depending on their skills, Axie team, and time spent. Applicants are usually willing to put in 6-10 hours of game time per day.

Through the YGG scholarship program, participants receive 70% of the income, the community Manager 20%, and the YGG Treasury 10%.

Axie players don't need to log in to Axie NFT's Ronin wallet to play. Owners simply give students their account number and password, or a qr code that is widely used today. The SLPS earned are collected in the wallet and transferred to the player's account.

Asset holdings

According to YGG's assets and financial reports, in September YGG held $814,812,378 in tokens (including YGG, USDC, USDT, ETH, AXS and SLP) and $17,616,712 in NFT assets (see table and figure below). Positions in ERC20 tokens increased 206.8% from July ($393,983,391) and NFT increased 174.9% from July ($10,073,557).

In terms of NFT assets in particular, YGG has been diversifying into a variety of games.

YGG's next move.

Relying solely on Axie Infinity brings uncertainty in terms of profitability (see Figures 1 and 2). As a result, YGG has been working on increasing its cross-platform and cross-chain pace across a variety of games to maintain its post-Axie growth.

According to the September report, YGG has increased its investment in Guild of Guardians and Splinterlands, as well as new games like Star Atlas, Influence, and Thetan Arena (see Figure 3). In October, YGG added Cyball, RFOX VALT and MOBOX to their portfolio.

In its most recent investment, Cyball has a co-founder of YGG. Gabby Dizon stands out as an adviser.

CyBall is a soccer-themed play and earn game that allows users to collect, trade, guide and use. CyBlocs NFT vs. YGG has acquired part of the initial Genesis CyBloc NFT pack, which is at least equipped. 1,000 CyBall students. In CyBall, there are five different levels of CyBloc, with each level increasing in overall skill level and rarity. The six football skills include tackling, passing, dribbling, crossing, shooting and physicality. Each CyBloc is born with a random base level skill based on its rank. Players train their CyBlocs to compete in different game modes, earning different levels of rewards. Old CyBlocs can guide up to three new ones. CyBlocs are designed to avoid inflation and can be passed on as levels and features.

The CyBall race engine determines the winner through a series of key events that occur throughout the race. Each key event involved CyBlocs competing in one or two skills, which also resulted in a goal or draw (no goal).

CyBall is a dual token ecosystem: CYB (CyBall token) and CBT (CyBloc battery token). CYB is a governance token that can be earned through pledge rewards, special rewards for competing in league and tournament PVP modes. CBT is a game that earns bonus tokens while playing, which can be earned by competing in various PVP modes (exhibition matches, leagues and tournaments). These tokens can be used for various in-game and ecosystem functions, as well as to guide the new CyBloc.

This mechanic could revolutionize NFT leasing and profit sharing in games. The Cyball-YGG partnership could shake up the old Axie-YGG games-game guild model and lead a new movement in the industry.

At the time of completion of this article, CyBall announced a partnership with Binance NFT and GuildFi& NBSP; To launch their IGO (initial game launch) on November 4th, the world's first triple IGO event.
