With three games forming an economic loop, Seascape redefines the incentives inherent in games

Read this article in 14 Minutes
NFT platform Seascape is one of the Bridges between games and Defi, and the relationship between "games" and "finance" is getting closer.

Do you still remember the Dark Forest, a chain game built on XDAI, which was recommended by numerous KOLs in the industry and triggered people's attention and use of Layer2 network?

In the game, all attacks are a contractual interaction on the XDAI network, and in order to play Dark Forest, players must try XDAI's network transfer in person after using the complimented XDAI. Compared to the Ethereum mainchain at the time, the immediate reaction of players was that Layer2 was just too good to use.

Just as Dark Forest lets users play Layer2 at the same time, this model can be applied to Defi to achieve the same effect.

Defi is nothing new to crypto natives, but with an overly professional financial page for new players, maybe the game is a lower barrier to entry.

NFT platform Seascape is one of the Bridges between games and Defi. The relationship between "games" and "finance" is getting closer and closer.

Self-trading of in-game assets is the basis of a blockchain game. The main reason for players to give up the excellent production of the big factory and switch to a blockchain game with weak production technology is to control the in-game assets in their own hands, which can avoid the loss of players' assets caused by the bankruptcy of the game company and other reasons. Revenue can also be generated financially through the sale of in-game assets.

In the crypto world, because of the development of "non-homogeneous tokens" (NFTs), in-game assets become NFTs that are stored in a player's wallet, and when these game assets become tokens, the "composability" on which the crypto world is so proud comes into full play. Or take the liquidity mining, lending and so on of "Decentralized Finance" (DEFI) and make it a part of a game to make it even more playable. Or it can gamify the application of DEFI and reduce the entry threshold of DEFI through small games, so that more people can understand DEFI and join DEFI.

Seascape is a scalable gaming platform designed around the DEFI and NFT economies to create a one-stop solution for global gamers and DEFI investors, leveraging the power of motivational games to attract active users and talented developers.

Seascape's vision and mission is to become a motivational ecosystem of players, developers and influencers that redefines the intrinsic motivational approach to games.

How will this vision be translated into reality step by step? A glimpse of this can be seen in three new Seascape mini-games.

Three games create an economic loop

These three small games are Crown Cirque, NFT Brawl, and Staking Saloon. These seemingly independent little games are actually attached to each other, creating a simple but complete economic loop. All three games are now available on the Ethereum and BSC Binance smart chains.

So let's start with Staking Saloon.

The simple gameplay of the game is that players simply pledge their 1 to 3 Scapes NFTs in exchange for Crowns of Seascape Network tokens. Different combinations of NFTs give different bonus effects to the rewards. For example, a rare level of Trixie NFT and two rare levels of Armstrong NFT give players an 18% bonus on top of their normal earnings.

This raises a new question: how do players earn these NFTs?

Of course, players can buy NFT trading platforms such as OpenSea and Treasureland, but the problem is that the cost is higher. After all, users sell things in the secondary market to earn higher revenue.

The more cost-effective way is to go to the primary market. And that "primary market" is another little game called NFT Brawl.

With Staking Saloon, a player can earn NFTs that are rewarded in return for Staking Saloon. Those NFTs are random in rarity. You can mint one NFT at a cost of 1-10 CWs, and the more CWs you invest, the rarer the NFT you're likely to get. Those NFT players can stash them, sell them on the secondary market, or redeem them in Staking Saloon.

To get NFT in NFT Brawl, you need to spend CWS tokens, which you can buy through Pancakeswap, Uniswap, and some centralized exchanges. Is there any other way to earn more tokens?

This is where Profit Circus comes in, the first of the three games to be released.

The game is simple because it's all about fluid mining, but Circus Crowne's gamified page design makes it fun and lowers the barriers to entry for new players, opening up the Defi world to new players.

First, invest a small amount of money to carry out liquidity mining, and use the mined tokens to buy NFT, then destroy the NFT to earn more tokens, and then put these tokens into liquidity mining, gradually snowballing.

In terms of gameplay and the degree of combination of "game" and "finance", these three games still have a big room for improvement. However, as a preliminary attempt, these three games have laid a solid foundation for Seascape Network to realize its vision. On the one hand, I will train my users to understand and learn financial knowledge to obtain higher returns; on the other hand, I will gradually transform NFT from a simple collection to a real financial asset, and realize my vision and mission step by step through these two aspects: Become a motivational ecosystem of players, developers, and influencers, and redefine how games are inherently motivational.
