Too long to watch: A simple transplant can reduce gas costs by more than 55 times. Try it today!
Earlier this month, we Official announcement of the new Arbitrum Rollup Testnet (see end of article for Chinese translation). Arbitrum Rollup is a full-featured Optimistic Rollup solution that enables anyone to instantly deploy Layer 2 contracts. Today we demonstrate the magic of Arbitrum by porting one of the most popular dApps on Ethereum. This is Arbiswap: Uniswap V2 running on the Arbitrum Rollup testnet.
Try next Arbiswap For your convenience, we made a faucet to send your tokens directly to the Arbitrum chain. However, if you already hold Ethereum or some ERC20 tokens on Kovan, you can also directly Arbiswap instead of claiming tokens in the faucet. After completing the exchange, you can go directly to Arbitrum Rollup block explorer View your transactions to see their gas usage.

- Arbiswap: Uniswap V2 on Arbitrum Rollup -< h3>Extended benchmark
It takes about 109,500 gas to trade tokens on Uniswap of Ethereum Layer 1; The gas upper limit of a block is 10 million, and a block is mined about every 13 seconds. In other words, Ethereum Layer 1 can process up to 7 Uniswap token transactions per second.
Arbiswap: When the Arbiswap Rollup chain is running at full capacity, The gas cost of Layer 1 is reduced to 1965 gas per transaction. In other words, Layer 1 can process up to 390 transactions per second, reducing gas costs by 55 times!
However, our goal does not stop there. In the next Arbitrum testnet release, we will support BLS signatures and other compression techniques, reducing gas usage by another 2-3x.
Arbiswap is neither a proof of concept nor an application like Uniswap, but a functional Complete Uniswap V2 (it runs on Layer 2, so it has other advantages). We took the Uniswap codebase and migrated it all over to Arbitrum.
Token Bridge. A key feature of all Rollup chains is the ability to transfer tokens in both directions between Ethereum and the Rollup chain. Without that, Uniswap (or any other DeFi app) wouldn't be very useful because you can't exchange it for Ether or any ERC20 tokens.
Arbitrum features a user friendly Token Bridge function, which facilitates the transfer of assets between Ethereum and the Arbitrum Rollup chain. To make it even cooler, we integrated the token bridge directly into the Uniswap UI. In our demo, you can trade real (testnet) ether directly on Uniswap. In fact, you can port any token you like to our demo so that it can be traded directly. There is no trick here. It's that simple!
Wallet support. We are happy to announce that we have added wallet support. You can now use Arbiswap on three wallets: Metamask, Fortmatic, and Portis. We are very grateful to the Magic and Portis teams for their support, and we are actively supporting other wallets as well. Please pay attention to the follow-up announcement.
Since Arbiswap's demo is so cool, don't you want to port your application to Arbitrum? Presumably you will have some questions that need to be answered.
How complicated is it to port my dApp to Arbtrum?
Not complicated at all! You just need to change your RPC endpoint to *https://kovan2.arbitrum.io /rpc * is enough.
Do I need to rewrite most of the code base?
No! You don't need to modify the code at all.
Where can I download the Arbitrum tool?
You do not need to download any new software to deploy contracts on Arbitrum. You don't even need to recompile your contract.
Can I use my existing Ethereum development setup?
Yes! Arbitrum supports EVM languages such as Solidity, Vyper, Yul, and Ethereum development tools such as Truffle, Hardhat, ethers.js, and The Graph.
What if I have a problem?
If you run into any issues please send us a message on Discord. We will help you!
I want to experience Arbiswap and build on Arbitrum. Can I start now?
Of course. Glad you have this interest.

Arbiswap is a demo built by Offchain Labs using Uniswap’s open source code, but it Not part of the Uniswap company. We welcome the Uniswap community to experience Arbiswap and launch a Uniswap instance on Arbitrum’s upcoming mainnet.
