What exactly is BSN, which will be launched on April 25, and what is it for?

The blockchain-based Service Network (hereinafter referred to as the "Service Network" or "BSN") is oneA global public infrastructure network for deploying and running blockchain applications across cloud services, portals, and underlying frameworks, jointly sponsored by the state information center, China mobile communications corporation, China unionpay co., LTD., and Beijing hongzao technology co., LTD. The Internet is formed by connecting cloud resources and data centers belonging to all parties through TCP/IP protocol, while BSN is formed by connecting cloud resources and data centers belonging to all parties through a set of block chain environment protocol. Neither is part of any single organization and both are public infrastructures.

The service network is committed to changing the current high cost of blockchain application development and deployment, providing a public blockchain resource environment for developers with the concept of the Internet, and greatly reducing the development, deployment, operation, maintenance, interoperability and supervision costs of blockchain applications, so as to make blockchain technology rapidly popularized and developed.

BSN consists of public city nodes that are located all over the world. On public city nodes, application publishers and users can use unified identity certificate to publish, manage and join an unlimited number of blockchain applications, and it is no longer necessary to build a separate blockchain operation environment. All applications use load balancing mechanism to minimize the average resource consumption, and the operating cost is only 20% of that of traditional blockchain cloud services. With BSN, an application can be linked and run for only 2,000 to 3,000 yuan per year. Small, medium and micro businesses, and even individuals, including students, can conduct innovation and entrepreneurship through BSN.

BSN, the blockchain service network, will be the world's first infrastructure network that is independently innovated and controlled by China and can be rapidly deployed around the world.The underlying framework of the alliance chain that BSN has adapted and is adapting is Hyperledger Fabric, FISCO BCOS, state secret Fabric, CITA, sycamore chain, Brochain and baidu XuperChain.So that developers have more options. In each BSN portal, developers can use their familiar programming language for blockchain application development without any experience in blockchain development.

BSN is open. Any enterprise or public institution with cloud resources and data center resources can apply for the establishment of city node and access BSN for free. BSN implements a multi-portal policy. Cloud service providers and underlying framework providers that join BSN can choose to set up their own portals and manage their own developers and published applications. Revenue from cloud resource sales for each portal will be Shared with the owner of the city node involved. As of the end of December 2019, with the strong support of China mobile, China telecom and China unicom, BSN has established or is in the process of establishing more than 100 domestic public city nodes nationwide, as well as Hong Kong and Singapore nodes. By the end of 2020, BSN is expected to have nearly 200 city nodes and deploy them in southeast Asia, Europe, South America and North America.
