Users and trading volume of platforms such as OKEx and Bitfinex increased during the outbreak.

BlockBeats reports that while the global economy has been hit hard by the new outbreak, at least seven cryptographic trading platforms, including Kraken, Gemini, Bitfinex, OKEx, Bitstamp, Paxful and KyberSwap, reported an increase in their trading volume and registered users during the period. These cryptographic trading platforms include centralized trading platforms, decentralized trading platforms and peer-to-peer (P2P) markets. Trading platforms say they have seen an increase in both users and transactions since the outbreak began to escalate.

"We've seen a huge uptick in enrolments and a 300 per cent increase in certified accounts," said Dave Ripley, chief operating officer of Kraken. Ripley didn't specify the number of users, but said that Kraken currently serves "millions of customers around the world." OKEx CEO Jay Ho told Block that the company has also seen "steady" growth in its user base. "Especially in early march, we estimated global growth of 1.7 percent."

KyberSwap, the decentralised trading platform, has also seen an increase in key metrics. KyperSwap product director sonny Jain (Sunny Jain) said: "the general users, active users, volume and size are on the rise. It is interesting to note that in March, we have seen great results. For example, trading volume soared more than 3 times. The United States, China and Australia is still the number one country, but we see almost every country on the rise." Claudia Lagorio, Bitfinex's chief operating officer, also reported a 30 per cent increase in new accounts in late march, when many countries were already implementing strict blocking policies.

Paxful, a peer-to-peer encrypted trading platform, also reported a surge in both its users and their Numbers. Ray Youssef, chief executive of Paxful, added that the total number of registered accounts now exceeds 3 million. Gemini and Bitstamp have also responded positively, citing growth in both users and business in recent months.
