BlockBeats news: bitland has released an update to the E3 firmware of its ant mining machine, extending the time available for mining to October 2020.
As previously reported by pulse, the ant mining machine E3, which is used for ETH and ETC mining, may have to be shut down by April 2020 due to problems with the growth of directed acyclic graph (DAG) files. And bitmainland has previously said that because of & NBSP; Antminer E3 is a 4GB graphics card. E3 is related to ETH algorithm, DDR capacity has reached the limit, E3 will not be able to continue mining.
According to bitland today, an E3 firmware update has been released to address the issue and the new firmware is designed to allow miners to continue using E3. This new firmware solves the previous problem of the growth of directed acyclic graph (DAG) files. The new firmware will expand the use of double date rate (DDR) memory and will have more space to process DAG files. With the firmware update, ant miner and E3 should be able to continue digging. With the new firmware update, the final block of ant miner E3 will be approximately 11,400,000 in height. By some calculations, E3's mining could continue until October 2020.
