BlockBeats: according to a report released by 2Miners pool on February 24, E3 will stop ETH mining in April.
Bitland's ant mine E3, once the "most powerful ETH mining hardware in the world", will stop mining etheum in April 2020, according to a report from 2Miners released on February 24. On 21 February, 2Miners began receiving the first reports of a significant decline in E3 performance on ETC pool, where users reported a six-fold drop in ant E3 mining data showing a drop in computational power from the previously announced 180 MH/s to as low as 30 MH/s.
After an internal investigation, 2Miners found a similar drop in power in ETC pools around the world. Meanwhile, 2Miners said the E3 continued to perform well on the ethereum pool. The team immediately suggested that the problem might have something to do with directed acyclic graphs (DAG). The DAG changes with each epoch. An epoch is 30,000 blocks, called a mining epoch.(note: DAG (directed acyclic graph). It is used for all Ethash arithmetic digital currencies such as eth-ethereum, etc-ethereum classics and other digital currencies. A DAG file is generated for each mining epoch, and it keeps growing. It is important to know the current and future size of a DAG file because it can have a significant impact on the speed of mining. The DAG file is located directly on the GPU. If the DAG file is larger than the GPU memory, then your graphics card can no longer mine.
2Miners also confirmed that DAG file growth limited the use of E3. Bitland also says the ASIC E3 still contains 4GB CARDS, and that DAG files are close to that threshold.

"[... Antminer E3 is a 4GB graphics card," bitland said. "E3 is related to the ETH algorithm, DDR capacity has reached its limit, and E3 will not be able to continue mining.
Based on 2Miners' calculations, Antminer E3 will stop mining at ethereum around April 8, 2020.
