Coinbase was the only company on the list, while Ripple and Gemini made the list

According to BeincryptoreportsCoinbase, the number-one cryptocurrency exchange, has become one of the leading employers in the us, ahead of giants such as Twitter, Intel, GE, JP Morgan and Nike and just behind LinkedIn.

Coinbase, the popular cryptocurrency exchange, has been named one of the 50 companies U.S. employees want to work for in 2019. Alphabet, owner of Google and YouTube, topped linkedin's list of most popular employers in 2019, followed by Facebook and Amazon. Coinbase, meanwhile, ranks 35th, nearly 10 spots ahead of banking giant JP Morgan Chase, which ranks 44th.

LinkedIn's list assesses companies in four areas: employee interest in the company, interaction with employees, demand for existing jobs, and employee retention.

Coinbase currently employs about 600 people in the us. The company is expanding its presence in services and financial markets. That explains why its hiring spree is focused on engineering, IT and human resources.

In order to facilitate further large-scale use of cryptocurrency, company employees can choose to pay all or part of their salary in bitcoin (BTC), and about 40% of employees choose BTC as their salary payment method. Coinbase also plans to add other cryptocurrency options in the future.

As part of its employee retention policy, Coinbase offers a number of benefits that benefit employees. The measures even include giving employees up to $5,000 a year in medical expenses.

Last September, LinkedIn added Coinbase to its list of "50 best startups to work for." The ranking also includes popular cryptography and blockchain projects such as Ripple and Gemini. This time, both Ripple and Gemini were on the list, with Coinbase the only crypto-related company on the honor list.
