Ethereum.org publishes notes on Potential misconceptions of PoS mergers
Ethereum.org has published a series of notes on the potential misunderstanding that could result from the Ethereum Pos merger. The correct understanding of the merger is that it is a change in the consensus mechanism, not an expansion of network capacity, and will not reduce gas costs; The speed of Layer1 will remain essentially the same; Staking is not enabled after the merger, and Staking will be enabled. The Merge upgrade is designed to transition to PoS and more with zero downtime.
