Britain may ban profiting from inviting crypto customers

According to CoinDesk, on August 1, the UK's financial services regulator said it will ban rewards for customers who refer friends. In addition, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) said in a policy paper published today that investments in crypto assets should be restricted, with some consumers saying they could lose all their money. "We want people to be able to invest with confidence, understand the risks involved and make an investment that suits them and reflects their appetite for risk," said Sarah Pritchard, executive director of markets at the FCA. "If we see products being sold that do not contain the right risk warnings or are unclear, unfair or misleading, we will take action."
