BlockBeats news, November 8: OKX founder Star responded to user complaints, advising users to temporarily avoid transferring funds directly from MEXC to OKX. He stated that OKX's special measures against FinCEN are managed under prudential standards similar to financial sanctions. According to the platform's compliance and risk control measures, funds from related platforms may be frozen for review, and relevant accounts may also be subject to further investigation.
Star said that although FinCEN provided a 30-day transition period, OKX chose to significantly strengthen related risk controls in advance rather than waiting until the deadline to act. He apologized to affected users, expressed understanding of their frustration and dissatisfaction, and emphasized that protecting user interests and maintaining the safety and integrity of the financial system are the platform's highest priorities.
Previously, an X user posted that 848.8 USDT and 11.7 USDT transferred from their own MEXC account to OKX were both frozen and subject to risk review on the grounds that the funds came from a "potentially high-risk address." The user demanded that the platform explain the basis for the freeze, the review timeline, and the materials required to verify the source of funds.
