Samsung Electronics CEO Roh Tae-moon spends KRW 630 million to increase his stake in the company's shares.

BlockBeats news, November 6 - According to Yonhap News Agency, the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system showed that Samsung Electronics' CEO and head of the DX division, Roh Tae-moon, purchased 3,000 shares of the company's common stock on the market that day at an average price of 210,000 Korean won per share, totaling approximately 630 million Korean won. After the increase, his shareholding rose from 124,280 shares to 127,280 shares.

The report stated that this move comes as Samsung Electronics' stock price has recently fallen sharply after the U.S. midterm elections, and is interpreted as a show of willingness to take responsible management; he had previously bought about 3,045 shares at 230,000 Korean won per share in late July. On the same day, Samsung Electronics closed down 6.35% at 188,700 Korean won.
