Democrats capture Republican-held House seat in Pennsylvania

BlockBeats news, November 4th, according to US media reports, Democratic candidate Bob Brooks defeated Republican incumbent Congressman Ryan Mackenzie in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, successfully flipping a Republican House seat in this key swing state in the presidential election. Brooks is the president of a firefighters' union in Pennsylvania.

In this election cycle, Democrats attempted to reclaim four congressional districts in Pennsylvania from the Republicans, and this seat is one of them. In the 2024 presidential election, Trump won in Mackenzie's district by a margin of 3 percentage points. Nationwide, Democrats need a net gain of four seats to take control of the US House of Representatives. (Jinshi)
