Beating AI News Flash: Israeli AI startup 42AI has emerged from stealth, launching a "behavioral world model" that predicts individual decisions. The company says it has partnered with 10 major brokerages to help them anticipate which assets clients may trade, whether they will buy or sell, and the size of the trades.
The model not only analyzes historical trades but also leverages client account-opening data, fund transfers, customer service call records, and even analyzes call tone and contact frequency. It infers clients' risk preferences and behavioral tendencies from this, then combines market changes to predict their next likely actions.
42AI claims that 98% of actual trade flow falls within the model's predicted range. For predicting trade direction and volume, the F1 score is 0.8 to 0.85 (out of 1).
Such predictions do not require getting every trade right. As long as brokerages can anticipate clients' overall buy/sell direction and scale in advance, they can arrange liquidity, adjust margin requirements, and hedge ahead of time. 42AI says one partner brokerage created approximately $30 million in additional value through dynamic hedging.
The $62.5 million seed round was invested over three years by the founders and Infinity Group. Infinity Group was founded by the CEO's father, who also serves as chairman of 42AI.
