BlockBeats news, November 2 — Analyst Axel Adler Jr. stated that as of November 1, the 30-day average of Bitcoin active addresses was approximately 629,000, down 43% from the local peak of approximately 1.1 million in December 2024, and down another 1% over the past week, currently about 10% below the full-year average of approximately 702,000. In 2018, this metric fell from approximately 1.1 million to approximately 547,000, a decline of about 50%, but it took about three months; this cycle has been nearly two years since the peak decline, with a similar magnitude but a slower contraction.
Over the same period, since December 10, 2024, the 30-day average of daily transfer volume has dropped from approximately 865,000 BTC to approximately 819,000, a decline of only about 5.4%, and remains about 5.5% above the full-year average of approximately 776,000. Analysis suggests that address activity has clearly declined, but the scale of BTC transferred on-chain remains comparable to recent years; both metrics fell over the past week, and no sustained recovery signs have yet appeared.
