SpaceX President and spouse donate over 2 million SpaceX shares to children's 'Trump Account'

BlockBeats news, November 1 — SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell announced that more than 2 million SpaceX shares donated by her and her husband Robert will be distributed in December to children's "Trump Accounts."

The first batch of shares is being transferred into escrow accounts and will go to children aged 11 to 17 in ZIP codes where the median family income is no more than $57,000, as well as children of the same age in ZIP codes that do not publish income data because the population is too small.

Affected families will be notified by Monday. The second batch of donations will be finalized several weeks later, covering children of overseas military families, foster children, and children of the same age in some Texas counties where the median family income is no more than $90,000. The U.S. Department of the Treasury, the IRS, the Dell Foundation and others participated in this donation.
