Beating AI News Flash: ByteDance's CapCut (the international version of Jianying) announced that it will integrate its video generation and editing tools into ChatGPT, with a public beta planned for mobile, desktop, and web in November this year.
In the official demo, a user directly uploaded 5 soccer videos to ChatGPT and asked for them to be edited into a 12-second highlight reel. ChatGPT then planned a 9:16 vertical format, fast-paced transitions, and visual style, and called on CapCut to generate a first draft of the video. The editing timeline is displayed next to the chat interface, and users can continue to request adding "GOAL!" subtitles. After completion, they can also move to the CapCut web editor for fine-tuning, sharing, and publishing.
In fact, CapCut had already integrated with ChatGPT back in 2023. At that time, users only needed to describe the video topic, and the plugin could automatically generate scripts, voiceovers, subtitles, and asset assembly, but they needed to jump to CapCut to edit the final product.
