Beating AI News Flash: Nvidia and investment firm TCV have taken stakes in AI video company Higgsfield. This is an additional investment following its August Series B funding round. At that time, Higgsfield raised $400 million at a valuation of $5.4 billion, more than quadrupling from the beginning of the year. The amount of this investment and the latest valuation were not disclosed.
Higgsfield not only develops its own video models but also integrates about 35 third-party models, including Kling, Veo, and Sora, into a single platform. Users can go from storyboarding and character design all the way to voiceover and final production without switching between tools.
Founder Alex Mashrabov previously revealed that over 40% of workflows have the platform automatically select the model. Profit margins vary widely across different models: using self-developed or open-weight models yields gross margins exceeding 80%, while calling third-party closed-source models yields only 20%–30%.
Higgsfield has surpassed 40 million registered users. In September, the company announced that its annualized revenue had exceeded $1 billion, growing about 20x year-over-year. The share of subscription revenue also dropped from over 90% to slightly above 60%, with usage-based pricing accounting for a growing proportion.
