BlockBeats news, October 22: Uniswap Labs announced that Aggregator Hooks are now live, enabling Uniswap v4 with aggregation functionality. This mechanism wraps external liquidity sources into v4 pools via Hooks, allowing any router to treat them as Uniswap pools. It is now available on the Uniswap web app and API, covering Ethereum mainnet, Base, and Robinhood Chain, with more networks to be integrated soon. On the first day of launch, seven external sources are supported, including Curve, Fluid, and PancakeSwap.
Each block, the router pulls the latest quotes from integrated sources, constructs the optimal path between Uniswap pools and external sources during swaps, and settles within a single transaction without requiring new approvals. Uniswap states that most on-chain liquidity is already on Uniswap, but new liquidity may still emerge elsewhere. With external sources integrated into v4, swaps routed through them will incur protocol fees and contribute to UNI burning.
