BlockBeats news, October 12 - In response to the "XRP Ledger Foundation's response to security fix" incident, on-chain detective ZachXBT stated, "The treasury sits on billions of dollars, yet only paid $250,000 to a white hat hacker as a reward for discovering a critical vulnerability that could have led to unlimited XRP issuance. This undoubtedly encourages attackers to directly exploit vulnerabilities next time to steal hundreds of millions of dollars, rather than proactively reporting them out of goodwill. This is why people do not take XRPL or Ripple as an organization seriously."
Previously reported, XRP Ledger fixed a payment engine vulnerability that existed for over a decade, preventing excessive XRP issuance.
