Beating AI News Flash: Embodied intelligence company Ola World has completed a nine-figure angel+ funding round, with investors including Chengyuanxiang Fund, Xinneng Venture Capital, Topband Co., Ltd., and Hony Capital. This is the company's fourth funding round since its establishment in March this year. Founder Zhou Shunbo was formerly the head of Huawei's Embodied Intelligence Innovation Lab and joined Huawei through the "Genius Youth" program.
Ola World aims to develop a home robot that can do chores and also allow users to teach it new skills. The first product uses a wheeled chassis plus dual robotic arms, initially targeting developers and makers, allowing users to participate in training the robot. The company has also partnered with domestic service provider Haokang Home to train models using real housework scenarios and professional service workflows.
However, the funding progress is faster than product implementation. Ola World currently has no officially launched robot product, and its public achievements are mainly the OLA-Sem and OLA-Geo models and home scenario demonstrations.
Zhou Shunbo has also adjusted the original goal of selling at least 1,000 robots by 2027. He said there are still issues with the supply chain, heat dissipation, and hardware reliability. The new plan is to conduct small-scale validation of the first-generation product in the first quarter of 2027, and then clarify arrangements for large-scale mass production in the second half of the year.
