Beating AI News Flash: A 9-year-old boy from Xiamen, Fujian, Yu Zhile, recently established the "Zhile AI Scholarship" at Longshan Middle School in Nanjing, Zhangzhou, to award scholarships to students at the school. He is currently in the fourth grade of primary school. According to the Minnan Daily, he began learning AI in January this year, and subsequently used AI to create tools, products, and websites, and tried to sell them. Including earnings from participating in competitions, his cumulative income is reportedly in the six figures in RMB.

Yu Zhile's mother, Zhuang Sehui, runs an internet company in Xiamen, and Longshan Middle School is her alma mater for junior high school. She had previously continued to sponsor students in her hometown. This time, the mother and son decided to use part of their income to establish a scholarship, and plan to reward outstanding students every year in the future. Wu Ruixing, the principal of Longshan Middle School, said that the scholarship will be used to encourage students who are excellent in both character and learning and who love technological innovation.
