Shell CEO: Middle East oil flows have recovered to over 80% of pre-war levels.

BlockBeats news, October 6 — Shell CEO Wael Sawan said that oil flows in the Middle East have now recovered to about 80% of pre-conflict levels, one of the most significant assessments to date of the recovery in energy exports from the region.

Speaking at the Energy Intelligence Forum in London on Tuesday, Sawan said: "Despite everything that has happened, we are now back above 80% of pre-war levels, which shows that many countries in the region still have strong resilience and can continue to honor their commitment to supplying energy to global markets."

Although several major banks and shipping data analysis agencies also believe that Middle East oil flows are approaching pre-conflict levels, the market still disputes the exact degree of recovery. The actual number of vessels entering and leaving the Strait of Hormuz and parts of the Red Sea is not easy to count accurately, because many ships frequently turn off satellite positioning signals, making it harder for outsiders to calculate the specific volume of cargo transported.
