Anthropic in talks for 1-gigawatt data center capacity deal, with expected investment of at least $40 billion

According to people familiar with the negotiations, Anthropic is exploring becoming a direct tenant of projects developed by Stream Data Centers, a company with a 27-year history that has data centers in multiple locations across the United States. Anthropic plans to deploy tensor processing units (TPUs) designed by Broadcom and Google within the facilities.
