BlockBeats news, September 26: Coinbase is one of the first supporters of the U.S. "Trump Accounts" program. Coinbase Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad said the company has submitted comments to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service regarding the implementation and expansion of the accounts, recommending that beneficiaries be allowed to invest in broadly traded digital assets or gain digital asset exposure through funds, so that the scope of eligible investments aligns with the major asset classes available to traditional IRAs. Coinbase believes that broader, product-neutral rules would help expand choice, promote competition, and provide young Americans with more opportunities for diversified investing and wealth accumulation.
