BlockBeats news, September 15: The Robinhood chain ecosystem token STANDARD (The Standard Reserve) hit $40 million just 2 hours after launch, then pulled back and is now at $28.91 million, with trading volume already surpassing $40 million. It should be noted that the current on-chain circulating supply of STANDARD tokens is 98,323,639.9815.
The project aims to become an "on-chain sovereign central bank," attempting to replace traditional central banks or DAO governance with immutable smart contract code (about 4,000 lines) to achieve automated monetary policy. The protocol automatically adjusts monetary policy through the net flow of ETH in the official Uniswap v4 trading pool: when there is a net inflow of funds, it gradually expands STANDARD issuance and uses revenue to accumulate reserve assets and protocol-owned liquidity; when there is a net outflow of funds, it reduces issuance and uses revenue to buy back and burn tokens.
The official whitepaper shows that STANDARD, as the ecosystem's sole token, has a hard cap of 1 billion tokens. At genesis, only 100 million tokens were pre-minted, and all were locked into the Uniswap v4 ETH–STANDARD pool as protocol-owned liquidity: ETH sent in by buyers naturally cushions below the price to form liquidity. The remaining 900 million tokens are the issuance budget. Once the cumulative issuance is used up, base issuance permanently stops, and after that the entire economy can only operate through fee circulation. The trading fee distribution plan is: 70% goes into the reserve/buyback pool. 15% is used for permanent liquidity, and 15% is allocated to the team.
In addition, the protocol's current base issuance starts at 700,000 tokens per day, and the protocol will adjust the policy multiplier m (range 0.2x to 1.25x, opening at 1x) based on ETH inflows into the protocol, thereby adjusting the pace of additional issuance. The protocol's current token burn mechanisms include the following 4 types: expansion license; protocol buyback; launch fee; and protocol liquidity fee burn.
BlockBeats reminds users that the relevant protocol is still in its early startup stage, token prices are highly volatile, and users should invest cautiously.
