Grok Bot Adds Local Network Egress: Cloud Agents Can Access Websites Using Your IP

Beating AI News Flash: Grok Bot is gradually rolling out a local network egress feature. Once enabled, the Bot still runs on a cloud computer, but traffic to websites will first pass through your computer and then exit from your current network. The destination website will see your public IP instead of Grok Bot's default data center IP.

Grok Bot uses shared static data center IPs by default, which causes some websites to block access. Some users have already encountered repeated Cloudflare verification loops and been unable to log in to websites normally.

Switching to a local IP does not guarantee passing Cloudflare either, as websites can still block access based on other characteristics such as browser automation.
